He returns home to Mejorada del Campo, a poor village on the outskirts of Madrid. At a loss as to how to devote his life to God, he decides to sell his family lands. Over the next sixty years, without help or architectural expertise, he builds a cathedral the size of Sagrada Familia using waste and recycled materials.
