Michael Koc\u00e1b contributed greatly to the dialogue between the communist power and dissent in the dramatic post-revolution days after 17 November 1989 and, as a Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission, he managed the withdrawal of the Soviet forces from Czechoslovakia.
