{"id":37656,"date":"2012-09-25T09:11:00","date_gmt":"2012-09-25T07:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/?post_type=novinka&#038;p=37656"},"modified":"2025-11-20T15:30:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T14:30:12","slug":"slovak-films-present-at-festivals-in-late-september","status":"publish","type":"novinka","link":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/news\/slovak-films-present-at-festivals-in-late-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Slovak films present at festivals in late September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/AIC_foto\/festivaly_loga\/festivals2.jpg\" alt=\"\" align=\"left\" class=\"table\" \/><strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">Slovak films will be present at festivals across Europe at the end of September: after the Portuguese Festroia, they will be screened in Prishtina, Kosovo and Kaunas, Lithuania.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Slovak films will have a significant participation at the 28th Festroia IFF in Set\u00fabal, Portugal (September 21 \u2013 30, 2012). The debut of Peter Kri\u0161t\u00fafek <strong><em>Visible World\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>will compete in the Official\u00a0Selection competition, the Slovak horror\u00a0<strong><em>Evil<\/em><\/strong> (by Peter Bebjak) wiill be presented within the European Thriller section. The co-production title <strong><em>Identity Card\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>by Ond\u0159ej Trojan will be screened as a part of the Out of Competition section. The Man and His Environmnet section will present the documetary <strong><em>Nicky&#8217;s Family<\/em><\/strong> (by Matej Min\u00e1\u010d) and the two documentay shorts <strong><em>We Shall Talk About in Heaven<\/em><\/strong> by\u00a0Jaro Vojteka and <strong><em>I Wanted to Be a Mother<\/em><\/strong> by Marek \u0160ul\u00edk. The Shorts from Schools section will screen two students films <strong><em>A Few Millimeters Under the Root <\/em><\/strong>by Michal Haru\u0161tiak and <strong><em>tWINs <\/em><\/strong>by Peter Budinsk\u00fd.<\/p>\n<p>The 4th edition of the Kosovian festival PriFilmFest (September 24 \u2013 October 1, 2012) will host the successful debut of director Zuzana Liov\u00e1 <strong><em>The House<\/em><\/strong> (2011). Slovakia will be also represented at the Industry event PriFilmFORUM: the activities of the Slovak Film Insitute within the European Film Promotion (EFP) will be presented by\u00a0Alexandra Strelkov\u00e1. Kosovo became a member of the EFP this year.<\/p>\n<p>The genre horror film \u2013 first of its kind in Slovak distribution \u2013 <strong><em>Evil<\/em><\/strong> (by Peter Bebjak) will be screened for the Lithuanian audience within the Kaunas IFF (September 2, \u2013 October 7, 2012).
