The film was submitted by the\u00a0FAMU film school (Prague, Czech Republic), where Viz\u00e1r studies. <strong><em>The Pandas<\/em><\/strong> are his debut film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cin\u00e9fondation Jury was&nbsp;chaired by the New Zeland director&nbsp;Jane Campion (Oscar-awarded for her film <strong><em>Piano<\/em><\/strong>), and it also included international filmmakers: director Maji-da Abdi (Ethiopia), actress Nicoletta Braschi (Italy), actress Nandita Das (India), director Semih Kaplanoglu (Turkey). The Award Ceremony was held in the Bu\u00f1uel Theatre, followed by a screening of the awarded films.
