Slovak animation shorts aimed at different target audiences had a successful October: while The Pandas<\/em> by Mat\u00fa\u0161 Viz\u00e1r received the Short Grand Prix for the Best Short Film at the Warsaw IFF, the Slovak TV series for children Mimi and Lisa<\/em> by Katar\u00edna Kerekesov\u00e1 received the award for the Best Animation Television Series at the Tofuzi festival in Georgia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n

Since the Cannes IFF The Pandas<\/em><\/strong> (2013) by Mat\u00fa\u0161 Viz\u00e1r,\u00a0travelling around several festivals and\u00a0awarded at many of them, received the Short Grand Prix for the Best Short Film\u00a0at the Warsaw IFF. The Jury including Lendita Zeqiraj (Kosovo), Pawe\u0142 Ma\u015blona (Poland), Benjamin Parent (France) considered the film a “cynical, sad, dark, horrible but yet again hillarious reminder of what humanity has become<\/em>” and “An original masterpiece of visual storytelling<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

The festival tour of The Pandas<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is not even close to its end: in the next days, you can find the film at Anima<\/a> in Cordoba, Argentina, at Tremblant Film Court<\/a> in Mont-Tremblant, Canada, at\u00a0Tofifest IFF<\/a> in\u00a0Toru\u0144, Poland, IF of Short Film<\/a> in Uppsala, Sweden,\u00a0at IF of Documentary and Animation Film<\/a> in Leipzig, Germany,\u00a0at IF of\u00a0Short Films Curta Cinema<\/a> in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, at\u00a0European Film Festival<\/a> in Seville, Spain, at the animation festival\u00a0Klik!<\/a> in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, at Cinanima<\/a> festival in Espinho, Portugal and many others.<\/p>\n

The Slovak television series for children Mimi and Lisa by Katar\u00edna Kerekesov\u00e1 received the Award for Best Animation Television Series at the Tofuzi festival in Georgia. The Slovak audiences will be able to see it shortly \u2013 the TV series is coming to Slovak TV screens in December.<\/p>\n
