Slovak films will finish April with a significant festival presence \u2013 they will be available at the 21st Hot Docs in Toronto<\/a>, 11th Crossing Europe in Linz<\/a> and 6th PriFilmFest in Prishtina<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The successful documentary Velvet Terrorists <\/em><\/strong>by the director trio Pavol Pekar\u010d\u00edk, Ivan Ostrochovsk\u00fd, Peter Kerekes, which received awards at festivals both in Karlovy Vary and Berlin, will be also presented at the prestigious documentary festival 21st Hot Docs (April 24 – May 4, 2014)<\/a>\u00a0in Toronte. In a North American premiere, the will be shown within the\u00a0World Showcase section and will be personally introduced by director Pavol Pekar\u010d\u00edk.<\/p>\n

Another successful documentary, which was awarded in Jihlava and Leipzig during the autumn of 2013 – Normalization<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Robert Kirchhoff, will be introduced at the 11. Crossing Europe (April 25 – 30, 2014)<\/a> festival in Linzi.\u00a0The film will be personally presented by the director Robert Kirchhoff in the European Panorama Documentary section.<\/p>\n

A significant presence of Slovak films is marked for the upcmoing 6. PriFilmFest (April 25 \u2013 May 2, 2014)<\/a>\u00a0in Prishtina.\u00a0The European Film Competition\u00a0will feature the\u00a0debut fiction by Juraj Lehotsk\u00fd Miracle<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, which added a new award from Vilnius to its award list and the mentioned documentary Velvet Terrorists <\/strong><\/em>by Pavol Pekar\u010d\u00edk, Ivan Ostrochovsk\u00fd and Peter Kerekes, which was internationally premiered in Berlin. The Middle Length Competition Programme will include The Exhibition <\/em><\/strong>by directors Andrej Kolen\u010d\u00edk a Peter Beg\u00e1nyi.<\/p>\n
