{"id":37806,"date":"2015-06-17T09:34:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-17T07:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/?post_type=novinka&#038;p=37806"},"modified":"2025-08-07T11:58:46","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T09:58:46","slug":"slovak-projects-at-midpoint-scriptwriting-workshops-2015","status":"publish","type":"novinka","link":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/news\/slovak-projects-at-midpoint-scriptwriting-workshops-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Slovak projects at MIDPOINT scriptwriting workshops 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/AIC_foto\/Logo_Midpoint.jpg\" alt=\"\" align=\"left\" class=\"table\" \/><strong>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artfilmfest.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">23rd\u00a0Art Film Fest IFF<\/a> will be hosting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.midpoint-center.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MIDPOINT<\/a>\u00a0scriptwriting workshops for the sixth time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midpoint-institute.eu\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The MIDPOINT Script Development Workshop<\/a> is organized by the Czech <a href=\"http:\/\/www.famu.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAMU<\/a>, together with other\u00a0European film schools. Though originally a workshop for European\u00a0students, most of the participants of the actual edition\u00a0are young professionals with the projects of the first or second films.<\/p>\n<p>The creative teams will be working with renowned \u00a0lecturers on their fiction projects in the short-length and full-length working groups. The workshop consists of two parts &#8211; the first take place at Art Film Fest in Tren\u010dianske Teplice, the second at the end of summer in Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p>Two Slovak projects will be participating:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Swallows <\/em><\/strong>\/ scriptwriter: Ivana Sujov\u00e1 (V\u0160MU) \/ producer: Martina \u010ceretkov\u00e1 (V\u0160MU)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Atlantis <\/em><\/strong>\/ scriptwriter and director: Michal Bla\u0161ko (V\u0160MU) \/ producer: Veronika Jel\u0161\u00edkov\u00e1 (FAMU)<\/p>\n<p>Art Film Fest IFF will also host the workshop focused at Slovak film professionals \u2013 the creative teams of scriptwriters and producers, who will be consulting the internationally acclaimed lecturer Martin Daniel, who teaches at the University of Southern California and is one of the EAVE Producer&#8217;s Workshop experts. The development of all projects was financially supported by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avf.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Slovak Audiovisual Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Journey of the Blind Birds <\/em><\/strong>\/ scriptwriter: Na\u010fa Clontz \/ producer: Biba Bohinsk\u00e1, Silvia Pan\u00e1kov\u00e1 (ARINA)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Emil<\/em><\/strong> \/ scriptwriter: Peter Ga\u0161par\u00edk \/ producer: Rastislav \u0160est\u00e1k (D.N.A.)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Just Because <\/em><\/strong>\/ scriptwriter: Juraj \u0160lauka \/ producer: Marek Urban (sentimentalfilm)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The River <\/em><\/strong>\/ scriptwriter: Roman Valentko \/ producer: TRIGON PRODUCTION<\/p>\n<p>MIDPOINT is a workshop to which several of its alumni return with their new projects. For these former participants, the organizers prepared the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.midpoint-institute.eu\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MIDPOINT \u2013 Follow-up<\/a>\u00a0workshop.
