The 7th edition of <\/a>CinEast<\/a> takes place on September 9 \u2013 26, 2014 in Luxembourg.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Slovak cinema is represented by several films this year, among them is the archive Celebration in the Botanical Garden<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (1969) by Elo Havetta, introduced in a digitally restored version from a new DCP print within the Cin\u00e9special section.<\/p>\n

The Cin\u00e9scope section introduces The Candidate<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (2013) by Jon\u00e1\u0161 Kar\u00e1sek, the most successfull documentary in Slovak cinemas last year \u2013\u00a0All My Children<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (2013) by Ladislav Kabo\u0161, is presented in the Cin\u00e9docs section. The co-production title Clownwise<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (2013) by Viktor Tau\u0161 is part of the Funny East section whereas the short film Fongopolis<\/span> <\/strong>(2014) by Joanna Ko\u017euch will appear in the Short Film Marathon section.<\/p>\n

Besides the Slovak films presented in particular sections, the works of the Slovak photographer Andrej Balco will be also on display within the exhibition So Far, So Close.<\/p>\n

The Candidate<\/a>‘<\/span><\/strong>s (2013) director of photography Tom\u00e1\u0161 Jur\u00ed\u010dek and the film’s director Jon\u00e1\u0161 Kar\u00e1sek will attend the event personally.
