At the<\/span> 55th edition of MFF Thessaloniki (October 31 \u2013 November 9, 2014)<\/a><\/span>, the Slovak cinema is\u00a0represented by the title\u00a0<\/span>In Silence<\/span><\/a> (2014) directed by Zden\u011bk Jir\u00e1sk\u00fd in the <\/span>Main Selection of the festival’s <\/span>Open Horizons.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Thessaloniki\u00b4s Industry programme within Agora Film Market (November 1 \u2013\u00a0 8, 2014)<\/a> includes the co-production forum Crossroads (November 4 \u2013 8, 2014)<\/a>. Slovak director Aramisova (know for his film Cagey Tigers \/ Cannes Cin\u00e9fondation 2011)\u00a0joins the forum with his project of a Czech-Slovak co-production Kids from the East<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The on-line library of Agora offers a selection of current Slovak films, including: In Silence<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (2014) by Zden\u011bk Jir\u00e1sk\u00fd, Indian Summer<\/span><\/strong> (2013) by Gejza Dezorz, The Candidate<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (2013) by Jon\u00e1\u0161 Kar\u00e1sek, A S<\/em>t<\/strong>ep Into the Dark<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (2014) by Miloslav Luther and Slovakia 2.0<\/span><\/strong> (2014) an omnibus film by 10 directors.<\/p>\n

Cottbus FF (4. \u2013 9. 11. 2014)<\/a> is significant for a presentation of Slovak cinema. In the festival\u00b4s\u00a024th edition, two Slovak films are presented:\u00a0Spektrum section will present omnibus film Slovensko 2.0<\/span><\/strong> (2014) directed by 10 renowned Slovak\u00a0directors and National Hits section introduces Jon\u00e1\u0161 Kar\u00e1sek’s The Candidate<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (2013).<\/p>\n
