Nominations for the Czech National Film Award Czech Lion for 2014, granted by the Czech Film and Television Academy<\/a>, were announced. Two Slovak co-productions and several Slovak artists are on the nominations list.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slovak co-productions nomination preview:
Fair Play<\/a><\/strong><\/em> (dir. Andrea Sedl\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1, CZ-SK-DE 2014) is the leading candidate for the Czech Lion with 15 nominations, including two for the best actor in the leading role for Slovak actors Judit B\u00e1rdos and Roman Lukn\u00e1r. The film is co-produced by the Slovak company ARINA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best Poster award has been announced during the Nomination Evening, also going to Fair Play<\/a><\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Tom\u00e1\u0161 Machek, Marius Corradini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slovak majority film\u00a0Hostage<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(dir. Juraj Nvota, SK-CZ, 2014), produced by\u00a0ALEF Film&Media<\/a>\u00a0received 4 nominations:
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Milan Lasica (SK)
Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Ond\u0159ej Vetch\u00fd
Best Editing: Alois Fi\u0161\u00e1rek
Best Art Direction: Pavol Andra\u0161ko (SK)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, several Slovak artists were nominated for the award for their work on Czech films:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The respected Slovak actress Tatiana Pauhofov\u00e1, previously nominated for the Czech Lions, received this year a nomination for the Best Actress in a Leading Role for her part in the Tender <\/strong><\/em>Waves<\/em><\/strong> by Ji\u0159\u00ed Vejd\u011blek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slovak Music composer Michal Novinski, who already received the Czech Lion award twice before, has two nominations for his music in the films Angels<\/strong><\/em> by Alice Nellis and Three Brothers<\/strong><\/em> by Jan Sv\u011br\u00e1k.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also a Czech Lion awardee for several films in the past, the Slovak cinematographer Martin \u0160trba was this year nominated for the Best Cinematography for his work on Storyteller<\/strong><\/em> by Vladim\u00edr Mich\u00e1lek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Czech Lion 2014 Awards will be announced on February 21, 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
