{"id":37838,"date":"2015-04-09T09:36:00","date_gmt":"2015-04-09T07:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/?post_type=novinka&#038;p=37838"},"modified":"2025-07-31T21:47:48","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T19:47:48","slug":"two-awards-for-koza-at-vilnius-ff","status":"publish","type":"novinka","link":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/news\/two-awards-for-koza-at-vilnius-ff\/","title":{"rendered":"Two awards for Koza at Vilnius FF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The closing of the jubilee 20th edition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/kinopavasaris.lt\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kino Pavasaris Vilnius FF (March 19 \u2013 April 2, 2015)<\/a> was a successful evening the the debut feature by Ivan Ostrochovsk\u00fd <a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/koza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Koza<\/em><\/a> (2015).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The film, presented in the New Europe \u2013 New Names Competition section, competing with nine other titles, was introduced at the festival by the director himself. The international Jury with members Paolo Bertolin (Venice IFF, Italy), Vlad Ivanov (actor, Romania), Esin K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fcktepepinar (Istanbul FF, Turkey), Cristi\u00e1n Jim\u00e9nez (director, shile) and Hadas Yaron (actress, Israel) decided to grant the film with\u00a0the award for Best Film, describing the film as a &#8220;<em>delicate and moving film about the journey of a loser trying to win back something he might have lost for good. The restrained and documentary-like visual and narrative approach of the director magnify the emotional power of this tale of (failed) redemption<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The film also received the Art Cinema Award granted by the <a href=\"http:\/\/cicae.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C.I.C.A.E.<\/a> \/ International Confederation of Art Cinemas (a confederation bringing together around 3 000 screens from 24 countries), which was given by the three-member jury of Gr\u00e9gory Le Perff (Dieppe Sc\u00e8ne Nationale, France), Claus L\u00f6ser (Brotfabrik Kino, Germany) and Micha\u0142 Matuszewski (KINO.LAB, Poland).
