Marek is following the footsteps of the previous Slovak “POMs” \u2013 M\u00e1ty\u00e1s Prikler (MPhilms), Mira Fornay (MIRAFOX), Michal Koll\u00e1r (Sokol Kollar), Silvia Pan\u00e1kov\u00e1 (ARINA), Marko \u0160kop (Artileria), Peter Kerekes (Peter Kerekes) and Marek Veselick\u00fd (Farbyka).<\/p>\n

Marek Urban (*1977)<\/p>\n

After graduating from Bratislava’s Academy of Performing Arts, Marek Urban and fellow student Ivan Ostrochovsk\u00fd set up sentimentalfilm in 2004. His productions included award-winning documentaries – Erika Hnikov\u00e1’s Matchmaking Mayor<\/em><\/strong>, as well as Juraj Nvota’s fiction film Hostage<\/em><\/strong> and Music<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Marek saw Ostrochovsk\u00fd’s boxer drama Koza<\/em><\/strong><\/a> premiering at this year’s Berlinale’s Forum, and he is now preparing on new projects by Gyorgy Kristof, Juraj Lehotsk\u00fd and Miro Remo.<\/p>\n
