\"\"The Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA)<\/a> nominated two Slovak films for the European Film Awards<\/a> \u2013 the feature fiction debut Children<\/em><\/a> by Jaro Vojtek and documentary also directed by Vojtek So Far, So Near<\/a>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The debut feature of documentary filmmamaker Jaro Vojtek Children <\/em><\/strong><\/a>was premiered in the autumn 2014 as a part of Project 100. Film had its international premiere at IFF Beijing, where won three Tiantan awards: for Best screenplay (Marek Le\u0161\u010d\u00e1k), Best DOP (Tom\u00e1\u0161 Stan\u011bk) and Best actress in supporting role (\u00c9va B\u00e1ndor).<\/em> The documentary film So Far, So Nea<\/em>r<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0came to cinemas in the spring 2015.<\/p>\n

The selection for the European Film Awards was made by 76 memebers (out of 162), accepted and confirmed by the Board of the Academy, from among of the following eligible titles.<\/p>\n

Fiction:
\nIn Silence<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Zden\u011bk Jir\u00e1sk\u00fd), Children<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Jaro Vojtek), Love in Your Soul<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Mariana \u010cengel Sol\u010dansk\u00e1), Hostage<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Juraj Nvota) and Seven Ravens<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir Alice Nellis).<\/p>\n

Documentary:
\n38<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir. D. Dangl, Luk\u00e1\u0161 Zednikovi\u010d), Comeback<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Miro Remo), wave vs. shore<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Martin \u0160trba), Salto Mortale<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Anabela \u017digov\u00e1), Return to a Burning House<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Anna Gruskov\u00e1), So Far, So Near<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. J. Vojtek) and Milan \u010corba<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. M. \u0160ul\u00edk).<\/p>\n

The 28th European Film Award Gala Ceremony will be held December 12, 2015 in Berlin, Germany.<\/p>\n

Participation of Slovak films and SFTA at the European Film Awards is supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n
