\"\"The 31st edition of Warsaw FF<\/a> will be held\u00a0from October 9\u00a0to October\u00a018, 2015 and will host four Slovak films within the festival official and Industry programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the International Competition will be world-premiered The Cleaner<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Peter Bebjak)<\/strong>. The title will be personally introduced by Peter Bebjak (director), Peter Ga\u0161par\u00edk (scriptwriter), Martin \u017diaran (DOP), No\u00ebl Czuczor, Kamil Koll\u00e1rik (actors), Ras\u0165o \u0160est\u00e1k (producer), Nat\u00e1lia Rau Guzikiewiczov\u00e1 (executive producer). The Cleaner will be competing for the main award \u2013 Warsaw Grand Prix, Best Director Award and Special Jury Award.<\/p>\n

In its world premiere Rasto Boro\u0161\u2019s Stanko<\/em><\/strong><\/a> will be also screened in the competitive sidebar 1-2 Competition. <\/strong>The successful festival hit\u00a0Koza<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Ivan Ostrochovsk\u00fd)\u00a0 will be encountered with 14 films in the section Competition Free Spirits and thus will be introduced to the Polish audience for the first time.<\/p>\n

Upcoming coproduction film The Red\u00a0Captain<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>by Michal Koll\u00e1r will be also presented within the Industry platform of the festival \u2013 CentEast Works-in-Progress.<\/p>\n

The Slovak member of Short Competition Jury is the film director and cartoonist Mat\u00fa\u0161 Viz\u00e1r.<\/p>\n

The Cleaner<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is a film about problems in interpersonal communication. It is about how strongly events from our childhood can influence us and how hard it is for us to cope with them. The main character in the film, Tom\u00e1\u0161, whose life is running in a stereotype loop, suddenly finds a purpose in life in watching lives of people, for whom he did the \u201ccleaning\u201d work. His life suddenly gets the emotional drive, exactly what he was missing before. Moreover, he falls in love. The feeling he probably missed the most… and suddenly he is able to sacrifice anything for love.<\/p>\n

Stanko has survived for years on Italian farms. But lies and broken promises have driven him to a situation when no one wants to lend him money anymore. He gets a last chance from his former boss Paolo: he is to drive a girl from Slovakia to Italy. Stanko has no idea, and later would rather not know, how the girl will end up. He has a task to perform. He is absolutely determined to do something properly at least once in his life. However, the journey becomes unexpectedly complicated. He becomes friends with the girl who was just a means to happiness for him.<\/p>\n

Peter “Koza” Bal\u00e1\u017e is a former Olympic boxer. His partner Mi\u0161a learns that she is expecting a child and decides to terminate her pregnancy. She reassures Koza to get money for the procedure. Koza, who has not trained in a while, steps back into the ring, hoping to earn some much-needed cash and possibly change Mi\u0161a’s mind. He and his manager, Zvonko, embark on a “tour”, where success is not measured in victories, but in the amount of blows that Koza can take.<\/p>\n

During the reconstruction of an old cemetery, a corpse with a nail driven through its skull is disinterred. The body belongs to an old church clerk, Karol Klokner.
