\"\"<\/a>The 23rd International Film Clubs <\/a>Festival Febiofest<\/a> (March 17 \u2013 23) opens its gates with wide selection of Slovak films in its rich programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A short film competition section In the Middle of Europe features five Slovak shorts: AFK: Away from Keyboard<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Patrik Kov\u00e1\u010d), Chronos <\/strong><\/em>(dir. Martin Kazim\u00edr), Mila Fog<\/strong><\/em> (dir Marta Prokopov\u00e1), Leaving this Country<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Dominik Jursa) and Gardeners <\/em><\/strong>(dir. Mira Fornay).<\/p>\n

A recent film and TV production is introduced in the Slovak Film Landscape. The section also honoured two Slovak filmmakers:\u00a0honouree Du\u0161an Tran\u010d\u00edk <\/u>and tragically deceased Vladimir Mi\u010d\u00fach alias Aramisova.
<\/u><\/strong>The\u00a0section\u00a0shows: Climbing Higher<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir. David \u010c\u00e1lek), 5 October <\/strong><\/em><\/a>(dir. Martin Koll\u00e1r), The Red Spider <\/strong><\/em><\/a>(dir. Marcin Kosza\u0142ka), I, Olga Hepnarova<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Weinreb, Petr Kazda), The Czech Way <\/strong><\/em><\/a>(dir. Martin Kohout), Okhwan’s Mission Impossible<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir. Marek Mackovi\u010d), Steam on the River<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir. Robert Kirchoff), When Land Is Looking for Its Heaven<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Erik Praus) and two episodes of the TV series Female First<\/strong><\/em>: \u013dudmila Pajdu\u0161\u00e1kov\u00e1<\/strong><\/em> (dir. Lenka Morav\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1-Chovanec) and Zora Jesensk\u00e1<\/strong><\/em> (dir. R\u00f3bert \u0160veda).<\/p>\n

Tribute: Du\u0161an Tran\u010d\u00edk<\/em>\u00a0screens three films from the end of the 1960-ties:\u00a0his documentary debut Photographing the House Dwellers<\/em><\/em><\/strong> (dir. Du\u0161an Tran\u010d\u00edk) and short films The Gallows <\/strong><\/em>(dir. Du\u0161an Tran\u010d\u00edk) and Commemoration<\/strong><\/em> (dir. Du\u0161an Tran\u010d\u00edk, Vlado Kubenko, Peter Mih\u00e1lik).<\/p>\n

Tribute: Aramisova<\/em> features Wolves and Foxes<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Aramisova), I Like Nora<\/strong><\/em> (dir. Aramisova), Cagey Tigers<\/strong><\/em> (dir. Aramisova) and What We Did before We Drank <\/strong><\/em>Cocoa Together<\/em><\/strong>(dir. Aramisova).<\/p>\n

The Mirror of the Past <\/em>brings several archive films: The Fountain for Suzanne <\/strong><\/em><\/a>(dir. Du\u0161an Rapo\u0161), Paper Heads<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir. Du\u0161an Han\u00e1k) and a collection of 8 Slovak short agitational and documentary films from 1949-1968 Cinema-Truth, Cinema-Lie.<\/p>\n

Slovak films will be screened\u00a0also within the sections Personalities of Club Films: Wrong Side Up<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Petr Zerlenka) and in the Club Jukebox: Eva Nov\u00e1<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (dir. Marko \u0161kop) and Koza <\/a><\/strong><\/em>(dir. Ivan Ostrochovks\u00fd).<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Film Cabinet to Children\u00a0will show popular TV series: Mimi & L\u00edza<\/strong><\/em> (dir. Katar\u00edna Kerekesov\u00e1).<\/p>\n\n\n
