The showcase will feature eight masterpieces: The Boxer and Death<\/em><\/strong><\/a> and Before Tonight Is Over<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by the great observer of human soul Peter Solan, a visual gem The Organ<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by \u0160tefan Uher, a ballad of love, revenge and desire Dragon’s Return<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Edurad Gre\u010dner, an impressive documentary Pictures of the Old World<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Du\u0161an Han\u00e1k, two eccentric pieces Birdies, Orphans and Fools<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Juraj Jakubisko and Wild Lilies<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Elo Havetta, and the selection cannot be complete without the breakthrough film The<\/em> Sun in a Net<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by \u0160tefan Uher \u2013 a film considered to be the first film of the Czechoslovak New Wave.<\/p>\n

The showcase is organized by the Slovak Film Institute, Slovak Institute in Berlin<\/a> and Zeughauskino \u2013 Deutsches historisches Museum. <\/a><\/p>\n
