The Czech National Award Czech Lion, bestowed annually by the Czech Film and Television Academy (CFTA),<\/a> announced the Nominations from the films distributed in the local cinemas last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Czech Lion is awarded in 15 statutory categories (see below). Among the three films with the highest number of nominations are two Slovak co-productions, A Prominent Patient<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Julius \u0160ev\u010d\u00edk) and The Teacher<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Jan H\u0159ebejk).<\/p>\n
