{"id":37985,"date":"2017-02-20T15:21:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T14:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/?post_type=novinka&#038;p=37985"},"modified":"2025-08-13T10:52:41","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T08:52:41","slug":"two-bears-for-slovak-films-at-berlinale-2017","status":"publish","type":"novinka","link":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/news\/two-bears-for-slovak-films-at-berlinale-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Bears for Slovak Films at Berlinale 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The 2017 edition of Berlinale has been a success for Slovak films. <a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/spoor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Spoor<\/em><\/a> by Agnieszka Holland and Kasia Adamik have received the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berlinale.de\/en\/das_festival\/preise_und_juries\/preise_internationale_jury\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Silver Bear \u2013 Alfred Bauer Prize<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/little-harbour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Little Harbour<\/em><\/a> by Iveta Gr\u00f3fov\u00e1 was awarded the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berlinale.de\/en\/das_festival\/preise_und_juries\/preise_generation\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crystal Bear<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2015-nkc\/19684.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"117\" align=\"left\" class=\"table\" \/><\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/spoor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Spoor<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Agnieszka Holland tells a story of Janina Duszejko, an elderly woman, who lives alone in the Klodzko Valley where a series of mysterious crimes are committed. As the director Agnieszka Holland said, the film could also be called: No Country for Old Women. Breaking the rules of storytelling and genre, the film shows not only cruelty to animals, but also to outsiders.<\/p>\n<p>Holland&#8217;s film was developed as an international project co-produced by Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Sweden and Slovakia. The Slovak part is represented by recently founded production company nutprodukcia<strong>,<\/strong> backed by promising producer Jakub Viktor\u00edn and his Czech counterparts Pavla Kube\u010dkov\u00e1 and Tom\u00e1\u0161 Hrub\u00fd.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/AIC-2016\/16770.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"117\" align=\"left\" class=\"table\" \/><\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/little-harbour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Little Harbour<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Iveta Gr\u00f3fov\u00e1 was world-premeried within Generation Kplus, section devoted to children and young people. And it was the Children Jury that decided on awarding the film with the Crystal Bear: <em>\u201cWe selected a film that is creative and authentic. It&#8217;s about two children who create a little world of their own, rules. We found the story very moving and the actors are very believable too.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Film is based on successful book <em>The Fifth Boat<\/em> by Monika Kompan\u00edkov\u00e1, which has been awarded Slovak Book of the Year in 2010. Inspired by true events, it tells a story about two children whose innocent play will change their lives forever.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1989, when <a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/eshop\/uncategorized\/blu-ray-ja-milujem-ty-milujes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>I Love, You Love<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Du\u0161an Han\u00e1k won a Silver Bear, this is the first (majority) Slovak film awarded at Berlin IFF.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2017 edition of Berlinale has been a success for Slovak films.
