\"\"The Summer School Academy Uhersk\u00e9 Hradi\u0161te<\/a> starts on July 27 and lasts until August 6, 2017. Beside the critically acclaimed world cinema and its filmmakers, who come to present their films to Uhersk\u00e9 Hradi\u0161t\u011b personally, a wide range of Slovak cinema also participates at the event.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The section Visegrad Horizon \u2013 New Visegrad Film brings a collection of successful contemporary titles: The Line<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Peter Bebjak) that won the Award for Best Direction at Karlovy Vary IFF, Nin<\/em><\/strong>a<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. <\/em>Juraj Lehotsk\u00fd) world premiered in Karlovy vary, OUT <\/em><\/strong><\/a>(dir. Gy\u04e7rgy Krist\u00f3f) introduced at Cin\u00e9fondation in Cannes, Rotterdam premiered Filthy<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Tereza Nvotov\u00e1) and Little Harbour<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Iveta Gr\u00f3fov\u00e1) that received a Crystal Bear at Berlinale.<\/p>\n

The Visegrad selection features also co-production titles: Spoor<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Agnieszka Holland), Little Crusader<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. V\u00e1clav Kadrnka), Ice Mother<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Bohdan Sl\u00e1ma), A Prominent Patient<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Julius \u0160ev\u010d\u00edk), Garden Store: A Family Friend<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Jan H\u0159ebejk), Oddsockeaters<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Galina Mikl\u00ednov\u00e1), Barefoot on Stalks<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Jan Sv\u011br\u00e1k), 8 Heads of Madness<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>(dir. Marta Nov\u00e1kov\u00e1) and The White World According to Daliborek <\/em><\/strong><\/a>(dir. V\u00edt Klus\u00e1k). <\/strong><\/p>\n

Within the programme of Student Films the section Visegrad Horizont introduces retrospectives of young and talented filmmakers who studied at film schools in Czech Republic and Slovakia. This year the section presents films by V\u0160MU student Pavol \u010ci\u017em\u00e1r.<\/p>\n

Furthemore two special tributes will be held during the Summer School Academy:\u00a0a tribute to Magda V\u00e1\u0161\u00e1ryov\u00e1, one of the most frequent cast actress in Czechoslovakia from the 1960s to the beginning of the 1990s; and a tribute to Miro Remo, uncompromising Slovak documentarist and a representative of the latest generation of Slovak filmmakers.<\/p>\n

The open-air cinema will show further co-production titles: An Angel of the Lord 2<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Ji\u0159\u00ed Strach), Stuck with a Perfect Woman<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(dir. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Hoffman), Lunacy<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Jan \u0160vankmajer) and a fairy tale \u0160\u0165astn\u00fd smoliar<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Ji\u0159\u00ed Strach).<\/p>\n

The organizer of Summer School Academy Uhersk\u00e9 Hradi\u0161te is the Association of Czech Film Clubs<\/a> (A\u010cFK). Partners and co-organizers of the Slovak participation at the LFS are the Association of Slovak Film Clubs <\/a>(ASFK) with support of the Slovak Audiovisual Fund<\/a> and the Slovak Film Institute.<\/p>\n
