In May, the iniciative accommodates three\u00a0more Slovak projects in development. First Slovak Pop Up took place already in April 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From 10 \u2013 31 May 2021, the residency program dedicated to filmmakers with a film project in development holds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.popupfilmresidency.org\/2021\/05\/04\/pop-up-film-residency-visegrad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pop Up Film Residency Visegrad<\/a> bringing to Bratislava filmmakers from the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland, that will each develop their respective film. Together with them, three Slovak projects will receive consultations from Helen Beltrame-Linn\u00e9, D\u00e9nes Nagy, or Michal Oleszczyk.<\/p>\n<p>From the submissions, the organizers selected<strong> <em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/my-world-upside-down\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">My World Upside Down<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>(Daniel Rih\u00e1k and J\u00e1n \u0160tiffel), <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/cowgirl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cowgirl<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(written by Jakub Medveck\u00fd), and <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/popupfilmresidency.org\/project\/visegrad-2021-borbala-nagy-nothing-to-see-here\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Everything Will Be Fine<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (Hannah Espia-Farbov\u00e1).<\/p>\n<p>Together with <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/popupfilmresidency.org\/2021\/04\/09\/meet-the-first-slovak-pop-up-project-of-2021-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kids<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(Gregor Valentovi\u010d) consulted within the April residency orgnaized in partnership with Seamaine de la Critique Cannes&#8217;s NEXT STEP, that makes four promising Slovak projects.<\/p>\n<p><em>My World Upside Down<\/em><br \/>\ndirected by: Daniel Rih\u00e1k, written by D. Rih\u00e1k and J\u00e1n \u0160tiffel<\/p>\n<p>A comedy about a 12-year-old ardent altar boy Mi\u0161ko, living a normal life up to the moment when, as a result of a minor misunderstanding, the whole village starts to suspect him of being gay.<br \/>\nMentor: D\u00e9nes Nagy<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Cowgirl<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong>written by: Jakub Medveck\u00fd<\/p>\n<p>The story of a generational shift and the rebellion of children against the world of their parents. Inspired by actual events, it evolves around agricultural corruption in Slovakia, which ultimately has a decisive effect on our society.<br \/>\nMentor<strong>:<\/strong> Helen Beltrame-Linn\u00e9<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Everything Will Be Fine<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong>written and directed by Hannah Espia-Farbov\u00e1<\/p>\n<p>The filmmaker\u2019s a love letter to her 20s, Everything Will Be Fine is a story of a Filipina actress whose ambition is to write a script and who falls in love with a Slovak.<br \/>\nMentor: Michal Oleszczyk<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Kids<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nwritten and directed by Gregor Valentovi\u010d<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e1vid, Maja, Hana and Ba\u017eo\u00a0are 27 and are best friends since\u00a0grammar school. Life happens, and D\u00e1vid finds himself in a completely new, unknown territory.
