The showcase of Central European Cinema will take place in the first half of March at the Museum of Film in Munich<\/a> (March 1 \u2013 11, 2018) and at the Film Gallery in Regensburg<\/a> (March 4 \u2013 7, 2018). Mittel Punkt Europa<\/a> will for the second time ask a question \u201eWhere is the centre of Europe?\u201c in an effort to learn more and understand better the German’s neighboring countries to the East.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purpose of the showcase is to unveil the life of the people from The Visegrad Group (Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary) and to repress the continuing misunderstanding by means of contemporary films and discussions with the filmmakers. Belarus will join aforementioned countries in this edition.<\/p>\n

Mittel Punkt Europa<\/a> will introduce four Slovak feature length fiction co-production films. The showcase will begin with a drama based on true events, A Prominent Patient<\/em><\/a><\/strong> (dir. Julius \u0160ev\u010d\u00edk), followed by successful The Line<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, with director of the film Peter Bebjak present the both screenings. German audience will also have a chance to see Little Harbour<\/em><\/a><\/strong> (dir. Iveta Gr\u00f3fov\u00e1), the adaptation of the same-titled book, and The Teacher<\/em><\/a><\/strong> by Jan H\u0159ebejk.<\/p>\n

A stylized portrait of authentic Czech neo-Nazi, who hates his life but doesn\u00b4t know how to change it, The White World According to Daliborek<\/em> <\/a><\/strong>(dir. V\u00edt Klus\u00e1k) is the only documentary screened. Last but not least, the showcase will too present two shorts \u2013 the animation Chilli<\/strong> <\/em>by Martina Miku\u0161ov\u00e1 and a student film B moll<\/em><\/strong> by Zuzana Mariankov\u00e1.<\/p>\n
