11th edition of Fest An\u010da International Animation Festival<\/a><\/strong> (June 28 \u2013 July 1, 2018) will focus on domestic animated films. The festival programme contains works of several generations of Slovak filmmakers, contemporary animations within various competitive sections and archive films that belong to National Film Archive collection of Slovak Film Institute.<\/p>\n

The Competition of Slovak Films will introduce 39 weeks, 6 days<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (dir. Joanna Ko\u017cuch, Boris \u0160ima), Auuuna<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Lina \u0160ukov\u00e1), FOOD<\/em> <\/strong>(d. Michaela Mihalyiov\u00e1), Chilli<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Martina Miku\u0161ov\u00e1), Journey<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Marek Jasa\u0148), Contrast<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Barbora B\u00e1rkov\u00e1), The Websters: Hero Daddy<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir. Katar\u00edna Kerekesov\u00e1), selFish<\/em> <\/strong>(d.Luk\u00e1\u0161 Fige\u013e), Here and Here<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Michaela Mihalyiov\u00e1), Untravel<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Ana Nedeljkovic, Nikola Majdak, Jr.), Woo-Hoo!<\/em><\/strong> (d. D\u00e1vid \u0160tumpf) and Yellow<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Ivana \u0160ebestov\u00e1), which will be the only Slovak representative in the International Competition of Short Films as well.<\/p>\n

Two films from the Competition of Slovak Films will equally participate Contrast<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Barbora B\u00e1rkov\u00e1) and Here and Here<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Michaela Mihalyiov\u00e1) will also participate in the International Student Film Competition. In the Sky<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Jana Hirnerov\u00e1, Mari\u00e1n Vred\u00edk) will be competing in the International Competition of Music Videos.<\/p>\n

Untravel<\/em> <\/strong>(2018) will be also presented within World Panorama section and the episode from\u00a0TV series Websters \u2013 Hero Daddy<\/em><\/strong> will be introduced within World Panorama for Kids. The first six episodes of the\u00a0TV series will be screened in The Websters selection.<\/p>\n

Section VAF: New Talents 2018 will present the best films made by students and debuting artists from Central and Eastern Europe. This year\u00b4s selection also contains two Slovak animated films Tutti<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Marek Jasa\u0148) and Contrast<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Barbora B\u00e1rkov\u00e1).<\/p>\n

Programmers of Fest An\u010da selected Slovak films also for the\u00a0non-competitive program. \u2665 Feelings<\/strong> \u2665<\/em> (dir. Michaela Mih\u00e1lyiov\u00e1) and Woo-Hoo!<\/em><\/strong> (dir. D\u00e1vid \u0160tumpf) will be presented in the An\u010da in Wonderland section, Don<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Samuel P\u00fachovsk\u00fd), FOOD<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Michaela Mih\u00e1lyiov\u00e1) and New Blood<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Ladislav Jambor) in the ESSESF section. Breathe<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Krist\u00edna Min\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1) will be the only Slovak entry in the Contemporary Abstract and Non-narrative Animation section.<\/p>\n

Fest An\u010da will also commemorate events of great significance and historical milestones such as the centenary of the founding of Czechoslovakia and 25 years of\u00a0independent Slovak Republic. Brigand Jurko,<\/em> the first Slovak full-length animated film directed by Viktor Kubal, will be screened (with live music performance of Marek Pia\u010dek) as part of these celebrations, along with other digitally restored films from the Slovak Film Institute\u2019s National Film Archive. Six short films will be presented in section 100 Years of Czechoslovakia, reflecting the history of the country. The selection also contains films by Slovak directors, Eye<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Juraj Bindz\u00e1r), The Song<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Jaroslava Havettov\u00e1), Chess<\/em> <\/strong>and Idol<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Viktor Kubal), The Queues<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Helena Slav\u00edkov\u00e1-Rabarov\u00e1) and The Last Stone<\/em><\/strong> (dir. J\u00falius Hu\u010dko, Jaroslava Havettov\u00e1).<\/p>\n

25 Years of Slovak Animation will introduce a selection of the most significant short animated films made in the era of independent Slovak Republic. The festival\u00b4s venues will screen A Ballad of Four Horses<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Gratex), Steps, Leaps, Years… and the Last One Turns off the Light<\/strong> <\/em>(dir. collective), Glider<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Igor Drevenec, Juraj Krumpolec), If not, then not<\/strong> <\/em>(dir. Vladim\u00edr Kr\u00e1l), In the Box<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Michal Struss), Anatomy of an Idea<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Peter Ko\u0161\u0165\u00e1l), Fat Fatal<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Michaela \u010cop\u00edkov\u00e1), \u010cmuchal & Svi\u0148a Strike Again<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Andrej Kolen\u010d\u00edk), Viliam<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Veronika Obertov\u00e1), Stones<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Katar\u00edna Kerekesov\u00e1), tWINs<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Peter Budinsk\u00fd), The Last Bus<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Ivana Lau\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1), Love at First Sight<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Veronika Kocourkov\u00e1), Pandas<\/em> <\/strong>(dir.
