The project was selected for the 15th edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinefondation.com\/fr\/atelier\/presentation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">L\u2019Atelier<\/a>, Cin\u00e9fondation&#8217;s programme which helps emerging filmmakers realize their first feature films.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upcoming drama tells a story of single mother Irina, a Ukrainian living in a small Czech town. One night, her teenage son Igor claims that he was assaulted by three young Roma. Irina demands justice, and is met with great solidarity. Until she spots inconsistencies in her son\u2019s account. <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/victim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Victim<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>brings the anatomy of the innocent lie, which reflects the atmosphere of our society and the power of prejudice.<\/p>\n<p>The project previously received international recognition at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wemw.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">When East Meets West<\/a> co-production market in Trieste and took home the FLOW Postproduction Award. The shooting will start in autumn 2019.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/victim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Victim<\/strong><\/a> <\/em>is produced by Slovak company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nutprodukcia.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nutprodukcia<\/a> (Jakub Viktor\u00edn) and co-produced by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nutprodukce.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nutprodukce<\/a> (CZ) and <a href=\"http:\/\/essehouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESSE Production House<\/a> (UA). The project was supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/creative-europe\/actions\/media_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Creative Europe MEDIA<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avf.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Slovak Audiovisual Fund<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/fondkinematografie.cz\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Czech Film Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinefondation.com\/fr\/atelier\/presentation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cinefondation\u2019s L\u02c8Atelier<\/a> has been created in 2005 to stimulate creative filmmaking and encourage the emergence of a new generation of filmmakers. So far, out of 198 supported projects, 157 have been released in theaters and 27 are currently in pre-production. For L\u2019Atelier\u2019s 15th edition, 15 projects from 15 countries have been selected, ranging from new directors to well-known filmmakers.Together with their producers, they will meet potential partners, a necessary step to finish their projects and start making their films.
