The 12th Fest An\u010da International Animation Festival<\/a> in \u017dilina will present almost 30 Slovak films from June 27 to June 30, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Five Slovak films are competing for international awards. Kamila Ku\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1\u2019s 300 g\/m2<\/em><\/strong> is selected in International Competition of Short Films; Housing-Estate Dream<\/strong><\/em> by Katar\u00edna Kraj\u010diov\u00e1 and Flush It Out <\/em><\/strong>by Marian Vred\u00edk and Jana Vred\u00edk Hirnerov\u00e1 are among the best music videos; while Veronika Kocourkov\u00e1\u2019s Avalanche<\/strong> <\/em>and Martin Smatana\u2019s The Kite<\/em><\/a><\/strong> will have a chance to win An\u010da Kids\u2019 Award.<\/p>\n

Competition of Slovak Films will present eight films including 300 g\/m2<\/em>, Flush It Out<\/em>, Avalanche<\/em><\/strong>, and The Kite<\/em><\/a><\/strong>. The other four nominated films are Fifi Fatale<\/em><\/a><\/strong> (dir. M\u00e1ria Kralovi\u010d), I Am Not Playing Anymore<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Matej Babic), A Date<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Michaela Mihalyi), and Poetika Anima<\/em><\/a><\/strong> (dir. Kriss Sagan).<\/p>\n

I Am Not Playing Anymore<\/em><\/strong> and Poetika Anima<\/em><\/a><\/strong> are also part of CEE Animation: Talents selection which promotes young animation filmmakers from Central and Eastern Europe region.<\/p>\n

In addition nine more films were selected for non-competitive Slovak Panorama section: Bearserker<\/strong> <\/em>(dir. B\u00e1lint All\u00f3), Born Free<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Norbert Neuschl), Machine<\/strong> <\/em>(dir. Slavo Turanec), Bored on Retirement<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Szilard Kardiak), PANTOPOS<\/strong> <\/em>(dir. Eni Brander), Persona Grata<\/em><\/a><\/strong> (dir. Daniela Kraj\u010dov\u00e1), Housing-Estate Dream, Save Your Files<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Jakub Bondor) and \u017dab\u00ed rau\u0161: Do leso<\/strong>v<\/em> (dir. Slavo Turanec).<\/p>\n

Slovak films are selected for other non-competitive sections, too: Fire<\/strong> <\/em>(dir. Veronika Kocourkov\u00e1) in World Panorama for Kids; St. Constantine and Methodius<\/strong><\/em> (dir. Lucia Gazd\u00edkov\u00e1) and Cold Warmness<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Helena Friedmannov\u00e1) in An\u010da in Wonderland; Four Riders<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Dominik Turan) in An\u010da in Mordor; Volkswagen Commercial<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Ov\u00e9 Pictures) and Untravel<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>(d. Ana Nedelkovi\u0107, Nikola Majdak Jr.) in thematic section Identity: Stranger Danger; and audience will also have a chance to see Mimi & Lisa: Christmas Lights Mystery<\/em><\/strong> (dir. Katar\u00edna Kerekesov\u00e1, Ivana \u0160ebestov\u00e1).<\/p>\n

The new DVD Pictures \u2014 Folksongs<\/a><\/em> issued by the Slovak Film Institute will be celebrated at Fest An\u010da with the screening of the classic four-part series by Helena Slav\u00edkov\u00e1-Rabarov\u00e1.<\/p>\n
