{"id":38240,"date":"2020-08-05T14:28:00","date_gmt":"2020-08-05T12:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/?post_type=novinka&#038;p=38240"},"modified":"2025-09-08T17:30:38","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T15:30:38","slug":"summer-film-school-uherske-hradiste-2020","status":"publish","type":"novinka","link":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/news\/summer-film-school-uherske-hradiste-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer Film School Uhersk\u00e9 Hradi\u0161te 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The 46th <a href=\"https:\/\/en.lfs.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Summer Film School Uhersk\u00e9 Hradi\u0161te<\/a> (August 7 \u2013 12, 2020) will once again, even at the expense of losing a few days, present a rich programme with a traditionally large Slovak representation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the New Czech and Slovak Films\u00a0section Slovakia will be represented by the successful drama <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/amnesty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amnesty<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>by Jon\u00e1\u0161 Kar\u00e1sek and a biographical documentary about the musician Miro \u017dbirka <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/meky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meky<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>by \u0160imon \u0160afr\u00e1nek. From minority co-productions, we can look forward to the award-winning black-and-white film <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/the-painted-bird\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Painted Bird<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>(dir. V\u00e1clav Marhoul) and the distribution pre-premiere of the drama <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/shadow-country\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shadow Country<\/a><\/em><\/strong> the story about Austrian border in the 1930s and 1950s, directed by the acclaimed Bohdan Sl\u00e1ma. <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/cook-fk-kill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cook F**k Kill<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir. Mira Fornay) is an absurd drama about a family tragedy, and <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/droneman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Droneman<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Petr Zelenka) is a psychological thriller.<\/p>\n<p>The social experiment <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/caught-in-the-net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caught in the Net<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir. V\u00edt Klus\u00e1k, Barbora Chalupov\u00e1) which caused quite a stir in the public will be screened twice, also in the section the Open Air Cinema: New Films. This platform will also offer three comedies: <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/the-last-of-the-noblewomen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Last of the Noblewomen<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir. Ji\u0159\u00ed Vejd\u011blek), <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/owners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Owners<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(dir. Ji\u0159\u00ed Havelka), and the new hit by Ond\u0159ej Trojan <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/the-banger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Banger<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. The section will be complemented by the spectator&#8217;s successful triler <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/scumbag\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scumbag<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(dir. Mariana \u010cengel Sol\u010dansk\u00e1, Rudolf Biermann).<\/p>\n<p>Three\u00a0short movies will be presented in the Student Films section:\u00a0<strong><em>Alice<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Monika Mah\u00fatov\u00e1), <strong><em>Ane\u017eka<\/em> <\/strong>(dir. Adam \u0160olt\u00e9s) and the animated film <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/sh_t-happens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sh_t Happens<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir.
