\"\"The 14th Fest An\u010da International Animation Festival<\/a> (1 – 4 July 2021) will take place online for the first time. The organizers have prepared a program with a significant representation of Slovak animated works including a special screening of the digitally restored film The Bloody Lady <\/em>(1980).<\/p>\n

Two program sections are devoted to Slovak production:<\/p>\n

Matej Mih\u00e1lyi), Donna Bella <\/em>(d. Emma Vir\u00e1g Csuport), Places <\/em>(d. Andrea Gabajov\u00e1), Maze of Memories<\/em> (d. Anna M\u00e1ria Medveck\u00e1), \u010cist\u00e9 tvary – Le\u0165<\/em> (d. Mari\u00e1n Vred\u00edk), Trip to the Moon 1969<\/em> (d. Samuel \u0160\u010derb\u00e1k), On the Hill<\/em> (d. Juraj M\u00e4siar, Luk\u00e1\u0161 \u010eurica), Boys\u2019 tears<\/em> (d. Zuzana \u017diakov\u00e1) and Home Sweet Home<\/em> (d. David \u0160tumpf). Moreover, \u010cist\u00e9 tvary – Le\u0165<\/em> and Prezident Lourajder – osud<\/em> will compete within International Videoclip Competition and Home Sweet Home<\/em> (d. David \u0160tumpf) is selected to the An\u010da in a Face Mask section.

This year\u2018s focus Traditions comprises six selections of Slovak and international animated shorts with diverse approaches to the theme. None of them lack a work from domestic production.

Traditions are also reflected in the feature films selection. The animated documentary Felvidek: Caught in Between<\/em> by Vladislava Plan\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1 is a personal testimony about family, a search for roots, and an exploration of Slovak-Hungarian relations. The screening of Viktor Kubal\u2019s legendary The Bloody Lady <\/em>(1980), inspired\u00a0by the historical legend of the cruel, Bloody Lady of \u010cachtice castle,\u00a0will accompany live music by instrumental duo Ranjev\u0161 & \u00d3basz.<\/p>\n

Extremely short section of extremely short films will introduce Slovak shorts Salty <\/em>(d. Elly Friedmann), Detective <\/em>(d. Max Kips), Space <\/em>(d. Matej Gemza, Kristi\u00e1n Klouda), Sailor\u2019s Disapointment<\/em> (d. Karol Kulla\u010d), The Memory<\/em> (d. Lenka Adamcov\u00e1), The Fly: Excalibur<\/em> (d. Peter Kru\u017eic) and Insomnia <\/em>(d. Katar\u00edna Pipiakov\u00e1).<\/p>\n

Section An\u010da in Wonderland<\/em> will present Forget <\/em>(d. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Ryb\u00e1r) and Snake Among the Clouds<\/em> (d. Ter\u00e9zia Poljakov\u00e1). The youngest viewers will enjoy the screening of the TV special Cate Strophe Saving Christmas<\/em> (d. Veronika Kocourkov\u00e1) as part of the World Panorama for Children section.<\/p>\n

Fest An\u010da will also screen several selections of short films from Central and Eastern Europe, which were created in collaboration with the international consortium CEE Animation<\/a>.
