\"\"The 48th edition of the Summer Film School Uhersk\u00e9 Hradi\u0161t\u011b<\/a> (July 29 \u2013 August 4, 2022) has prepared a colourful programme and traditionally includes many Slovak films and co-productions. In addition to the new releases, the screen will feature a classic from the collections of the National Film Archive of the SFI Beware…!<\/a><\/em> (1946) directed by Martin Fri\u010d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After its world premiere at Karlovy Vary, Uhersk\u00e9 Hradi\u0161t\u011b will present Beata Parkanov\u00e1’s second feature film The Word<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, which won the festival’s awards for Best Director and Best Actor. The New Czech and Slovak films section will present Olga Sommerov\u00e1’s new documentary Michael Koc\u00e1b<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, V\u00e1clav Kadrnka’s Saving One Who Was Dead<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and Peter Kerekes’ Venice award-winning film 107 Mothers<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. The festival will close with the premiere of Arved<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>by Vojt\u011bch Ma\u0161ek.<\/p>\n

To pay tribute to Martin Fri\u010d on the occasion of his 120th anniversary, the Summer Film School has dedicated a film retrospective and an expert analysis to his work; Fri\u010d’s Slovak film Beware…!<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, is part of the programme.<\/p>\n

The Open-air Cinema will screen the audience-attractive films Shadowplay<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>by Peter Bebjak and feature debuts Avalanche of Love<\/a><\/em><\/strong> by Jakub Machala and Perfect Strangers<\/a><\/em><\/strong> by Zuzana Mariankov\u00e1.<\/p>\n

Festival guest Michaela Pavl\u00e1tov\u00e1 will present her films My Sunny Maad<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>and Faithless Games<\/a><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Slovak student films have earned a lot of international attention in recent years. The festival will show them within the selection of shorts: Liquid Bread<\/em><\/strong><\/a> by Alica Bedn\u00e1rikov\u00e1, Rheum<\/strong> <\/em>by Kate\u0159ina Hron\u00edkov\u00e1), Long Live Death<\/em><\/strong> by R\u00f3bert Mih\u00e1ly, Maverick (Of Hen and Men)<\/strong><\/em> by Peter Hoferica and Knife<\/strong> <\/em>by Timotej Lukovi\u010d.<\/p>\n
