{"id":38633,"date":"2023-11-14T07:02:12","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T06:02:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/?post_type=novinka&#038;p=38633"},"modified":"2025-09-24T16:15:18","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T14:15:18","slug":"european-film-awards-2023","status":"publish","type":"novinka","link":"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/news\/european-film-awards-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"White Plastic Sky nominated for the European Film Awards 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanfilmacademy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Film Academy<\/a>\u00a0(EFA) has nominated the Hungarian-Slovak film\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aic.sk\/slovak-films\/22371.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>White Plastic Sky<\/em><\/a>\u00a0for the prestigious selection of the five best European animated feature films premiered between June 2022 and the end of May 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this year,\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/white-plastic-sky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">White Plastic Sky<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0had its world premiere in the\u00a0Encounters\u00a0competition at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aic.sk\/aic\/en\/news\/slovakia-berlinale\/berlinale-2023\/interview-with-juraj-krasnohorsky.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Berlinale\u00a0<\/a>and has since been screened at several prestigious festivals, including the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Most recently, the film won the Silver M\u00e9li\u00e8s Award for Best Film at the European Fantastic Film Festival in Strasbourg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/white-plastic-sky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">White Plastic Sky<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is set in the future where, after the complete destruction of the Earth&#8217;s flora and fauna, scientists experiment with an incredibly nutritious plant implanted into the human body. In this cruel world where survival comes at a high price, a man breaks all the rules to save his wife&#8217;s life.\u00a0<em>\u201cThe film was made by combining technologies. The characters are in 2D whereas the sets and all objects were made in 3D. The cameras will also move in 3D. This made it possible to split the work among two teams. Everything 2D-related was done in Hungary and 3D was done in Slovakia.
