An American composer of electroacoustic music Claire Rousay provides Kubal&#8217;s\u00a0<em>The Bloody Lady<\/em>\u00a0with an all-new live soundtrack.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evening kicks off with Kubal&#8217;s short films\u00a0<em><strong>The Idol<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(1989) and\u00a0<strong><em>Cinema\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(1977), each with a new soundtrack provided by the Ghent Advanced Master Ensemble (GAME). Consequently, an American composer of electroacoustic music Claire Rousay provides a live soundtrack for the feature length animated film\u00a0<strong><em>The Bloody Lady<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>(1980).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Viktor Kubal (1923 \u2013 1997) is considered the father of Slovak animated film, his\u00a0<strong><em>Brigand Jurko<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1976) is the very first Slovak feature length animated film ever made. Kubal is known for his minimalist drawing and narration style, with which he achieves maximum effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\u00a0<strong><em>The Bloody Lady<\/em><\/strong>, his pseudo-historical horror-dramedy about Elisabeth Bathory, Kubal communicates not with dialogues \u2013\u00a0<strong><em>The Bloody Lady<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is, apart from a brief intro, a silent film \u2013 but through minimalist images and the music of Juraj Lexmann.
