Emerging Producers is a promotional and educational project of the Ji.hlava IDFF, designed to connect talented European documentary film producers. Since 2017, following the success of the previous five editions, the program was expanded to include an additional four-day meeting in Berlin and producers\u2019 presentations during the Berlinale. Slovak Emerging Producer 2024 is Matej Sotn\u00edk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matej Sotn\u00edk is a producer and partner at the gu\u010da films production company, and the co-founder and creative director at the Film Expanded distribution company. He is the producer of Viera \u010c\u00e1kanyov\u00e1\u2019s sci-fi documentary Notes from Eremocene<\/a><\/em>, which had its world premiere at Berlinale 2023. The gu\u010da films portfolio includes award-winning films that have been screened at festivals such as Sheffield DocFest, RIDM Montreal, Ji.hlava, and many others. Matej is an alumnus of workshops such as MIDPOINT Series Launch, Emerging Producers, MFI Script 2 Film Workshop, and IDFAcademy and is a co-founder of the Slovak Documentary Film Association.
