The Fest An\u010da International Animation Festival, held annually in \u017dilina, showcases the latest animated works from around the world. Its 17th edition will take place from June 25 to June 30, and Slovak films have a significant presence in various sections and competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the International Short Film Competition, Slovakia will be represented by the film Hello Summer<\/em><\/a><\/strong> directed by Martin Smatana and Veronika Zacharov\u00e1, which recently won the Young Audience Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. This film will also participate in the Slovak Short Film Competition. The section will feature films such as Wereawolf<\/em><\/strong> by Nik Mlynar\u010d\u00edk, Perplexity<\/strong> <\/em>by Franz Milec, Tapping Black Boots<\/em><\/strong> by Kaoru Furuko, Bobo<\/strong> <\/em>by Veronika Obertov\u00e1, Dream Rotation<\/strong><\/em> by Darya Sidorova, Vikt\u00f3ria Zimmermannov\u00e1, Rebeka Vakr\u010dkov\u00e1, and Katar\u00edna Jel\u00ednkov\u00e1, About Stars and Fables<\/em><\/strong> by Alla Dmitrievna Prokopyshyna, and Silo<\/strong> <\/em>by Imrich K\u00fatik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the International Competition of Music Videos, President Lourajder \u2013 Lunapark<\/em><\/strong> directed by Martin Mih\u00e1lyi will be presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Short Films for Children section will feature two Slovak films: Bobo<\/strong> <\/em>by Veronika Obertov\u00e1 and an episode from the new series Forest Five<\/em> <\/strong>by Ivana Lau\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Short Films from Around the World section will screen The Garden of Heart<\/a><\/em><\/strong> by Oliv\u00e9r Hegyi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Within the Slovak Short Films<\/em> section, Forest Five<\/em><\/strong> by Ivana Lau\u010d\u00edkov\u00e1, The Tots \u2013 Picnic<\/em><\/strong> by Vanda Ra\u00fdmanov\u00e1 and Michal Struss, Saturday<\/strong> <\/em>by Szilard Kardiak, Ve\u013ek\u00e1 potreba \u2013 Coincidence<\/strong> by Milan Uher\u010d\u00edk, Slovak for a Word \u2013 To Mature<\/em><\/strong> by Mari\u00e1n Vred\u00edk, The Wolf and the Little Goats<\/em><\/strong> by Radovan Hali\u010dka, The Wasteland<\/em><\/strong> by Timotej Lukovi\u010d, and Everything We Missed<\/a><\/em><\/strong> by Marta Prokopov\u00e1 will be showcased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to new Slovak films, the festival will also present classics from the archives of the Slovak Film Institute (SFI). A program titled Joys and Sorrows will feature films such as The Virgin Land<\/em><\/strong> by Ondrej Slivka, Saturday Is Here<\/em><\/strong> by Vlastimil Herold, The Flea and the Elephant<\/em><\/strong> by Ivan Popovi\u010d, Phone<\/strong> <\/em>by J\u00falius Hu\u010dko, Eye<\/strong> <\/em>by Juraj Bindz\u00e1r, Baby in the Army<\/em><\/strong> by Pen\u010do Kun\u010dev, The Monument<\/em><\/strong> by Oleg Makar-Kalm\u00e1ry, Ikebana<\/strong> <\/em>by Jozef Povrazn\u00edk, and The Construction<\/em><\/strong> by Ivo Hejcman.
