The event also includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/industry.younghorizons.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Young Horizons Industry platform<\/a>, offering a diverse program for film professionals. The 12th edition of the event will once again feature Slovak films and filmmakers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival programme includes five Slovak co-production feature films. In the Discoveries competition, the animated film <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/tales-from-the-magic-garden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tales from the Magic Garden<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir. David S\u00fakup, Patrik Pa\u0161\u0161, Leon Vidmar, Jean-Claude Rozec), which had its world premiere at this year&#8217;s Berlinale, will have its Polish premiere. The Festival Favorites section will screen two Slovak films from last year\u2019s Young Horizons main competition \u2013 <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/diplodocus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Diplodocus<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>by Wojtek Wawszczyk, also shown in an extended director\u2019s cut, and the puppet animation <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/living-large\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Living Large<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir. Kristina Dufkov\u00e1), which premiered in Annecy. The Intergenerational Stories section will present the film <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/how-i-learned-to-fly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How I Learned to Fly<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, about the summer adventures of 12-year-old Sofia, produced in a Serbian-Croatian-Bulgarian-Slovak co-production. The film <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/even-mice-belong-in-heaven\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Even Mice Belong in Heaven<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (dir. Denisa Grimmov\u00e1, Jan Buben\u00ed\u010dek) also returns to the program for the third time, once again included in the Our Classics section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slovakia will also be represented in the <a href=\"https:\/\/industry.younghorizons.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Young Horizons Industry co-production forum<\/a> (September 29 \u2013 October 1), with several Slovak films and professionals taking part. In the Market Presentations, and within this year\u2019s focus on Croatia, two upcoming co-production projects will be showcased \u2013 the animated family film <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/the-crystal-planet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Crystal Planet<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, a Czech-Croatian-Slovak co-production (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfilm.sk\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SK prod: BFilm<\/a>) and the feature film <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/sfu.sk\/en\/films\/extraordinary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spacehead<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, directed by Marina Andree \u0160kop, produced as a broad Croatian-Slovak-Slovenian-Latvian-Serbian co-production (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.objectif.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SK prod: objectif<\/a>). Among the eleven projects in the Project Pool, a section that allows projects in various stages of development to arrange individual meetings with potential partners, the Czech-Norwegian-Slovak project <strong><em>Finding Home<\/em><\/strong> will be personally presented by its producer Luk\u00e1\u0161 Hanul\u00e1k (<a href=\"https:\/\/raketa.watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Raketa production company<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zuzana Bielikov\u00e1 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmcommission.sk\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slovak Film Agency<\/a>) will join the discussion panel Think Tank Film Institutes \u2013 Thinking Ahead: Spotlight on Young Audience Content, where representatives of film funds will exchange experiences and strategies regarding innovative funding models focused on youth content. The panel will take place on October 1 alongside the co-production forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The industry programme also includes the mentoring and networking initiative <a href=\"https:\/\/industry.younghorizons.pl\/producers-link\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Producers LINK<\/a> (September 28 \u2013 October 1), designed for producers starting out in children\u2019s film production. The program connects two major industry events \u2013 Young Horizons Industry in Warsaw and Cinekid for Professionals in Amsterdam. During these events, producers have the opportunity to attend workshops, project presentations, and discussions aimed at supporting the creation of high-quality content for young audiences.
