David S\u00fakup, Patrik Pa\u0161\u0161, Leon Vidmar, Jean-Claude Rozec) was nominated in two categories for the 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanfilmawards.eu\/european-film-awards-nominees-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Film Awards<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only Slovak film was nominated from among the films shortlisted in the first round, based on the votes of 5,400 members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanfilmacademy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Film Academy<\/a>. It will compete for the award in the European Animated Feature Film category and is also in the running for the main European Film category, which includes 15 feature-length live-action, documentary, and animated films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family film <em><strong>Tales From the Magic Garden<\/strong><\/em> draws inspiration from the book <em>Of Unwanted Things and People<\/em> by Czech author Arno\u0161t Goldflam. The story of three children staying overnight at their grandfather\u2019s for the first time after the death of their grandmother, a remarkable storyteller, gently conveys hope and helps navigate challenging life situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film was produced as an equal four-way co-production between the Czech Republic (Maurfilm), Slovakia (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.artichoke.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Artichoke Production<\/a>), Slovenia (ZVVIKS), and France (Vivement Lundi). It had its world premiere at this year\u2019s Berlinale in the Generation Kplus competition section and was also presented to audiences at festivals in Zl\u00edn, Annecy, Karlovy Vary, Hamburg, Warsaw, and many others.
