The film is celebrated as the beginning of the Chechoslovak New Wave.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Organ (1964)<br \/>\n\tA drama set in the times of the wartime Slovak State. A young Polish deserter, who happens to be a gifted organist, hides from the fascists in a Franciscan monastery. His talent brings about a clash with the pettiness and close-mindedness of the local organist and choir leader.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThree Daughters (1967)<br \/>\n\tA classical motif of folk ballads about an ageing father and his three daughters is set against the backdrop of Czechoslovakia of the early 1950s.
