Film.sk is a monthly about film events in Slovakia published by the Slovak Film Institute. It has been published since January 2000 and up to 2010 it was the only film periodical in print in Slovakia. The magazine’s editor-in-chief Simona Nôtová was presentat its birth and she managed it until September 2012. Naturally, the monthly has under gone conceptual changes over the course of its existence but it was always based on the principle of the provision of a broad range of information on the events in the local film and audiovisual milieu. At present, Film.sk is comprised of permanent sections: the Interview, Topic and Review which are complemented by further regular and irregularsections. Film.skalso contains attachments which chart the annual results in one of the areas of Slovak cinema and provide valuable statistical data.
