This documentary describes the life story of Emil Švec, who was imprisoned in communist prisons for 18 years. He was a person that experienced real conditions of the most famous prisons in communist Czechoslovakia. The documentary film presents life stories of five men, whose lives completely changed after the Communist state power liquidated male religious orders in 1950. After years of interrogations and prison, they find their own, but different ways how to fulfil their mission.

Documentary film about smuggling of literature to Czechoslovakia durong communist times. From 1948 to 1989, the communist regime did not allow its citizens free access to information. There was cenzorship, many authors were banned, private publishing houses were shut down and religious literature was almost non-existent. The leitmotif of the film is a story of three friends who participated in smuggling of literature through mountains. In 1983, they were arrested, imprisoned and afterwards sentenced. The film analysis the phenomenon of smuggling of literature and clarifies motivations of people who unselfishly put their own freedom at risk in order to help the inner freedom of others.

Millions od people, besides others also thousands of inhabitants of Slovakia, entered the GULAG Soviet labour camps. The documentary portrays experiences of the last Slovak prisoners being alive. It follows their fates from the time of the arrest up to their comeback, through meeting with death of their co-prisoners, cruelty of the underground, but also through the selflessness of medics in poor conditions of labour camps and the wild nature.

Film presents a documentary view of the pre-November, November, and post-November events in 1989, which formed development of our country and humanity. It is a film for all who did not forget and who won´t forget, as well for those who have never had the chance to experience these events.

Documentary deals with probems related to the territory of Slovakia and Poland that for the long time remained on the historical and political periphery. Such conditions were favorable to criminals as Józef Kuras called Ogieň, whose band killed hundreds of Polish and Slovak civilians after the World War II.

A reconstruction of the 1988 security forces´ intervention against the peaceful gathering of believers at the Hviezdoslav Square in Bratislava uses records of the State security´s secret camera. There are concrete participants as well as State security agents identified in the film. Interviews with protagonists of this historic event made after 20 years confront the present with the past.

 Documents referring to the option – the resettlement of the Ruthenian population from the Republic of Czecho-slovakia to the Soviet union – is based on the testimony of a great storyteller Jozef Bobalik. We hear from him about the situation of the resettlement as well as about his experience in Soviet labor camps located behind the Arctic Circle. The world of wooden chalets and wooden churches confronts with the reality of ”Soviet paradise“. Reconstruction scenes accentuate the culture of the Ruthenian national minority.
