The puppet series depicts children´s games inspired by the four seasons. The author combines Slovak folk songs, nursery rhymes and proverbs with original folk-art products such as embroideries, painted Easter eggs and household artefacts made from textiles, wood, metal, straw and corn husks. By bringing these together, she achieves an entity with a pure style which is impressive in artistic terms.

Film.sk is a monthly about film events in Slovakia published by the Slovak Film Institute. It has been published since January 2000 and up to 2010 it was the only film periodical in print in Slovakia. The magazine’s editor-in-chief Simona Nôtová was presentat its birth and she managed it until September 2012. Naturally, the monthly has under gone conceptual changes over the course of its existence but it was always based on the principle of the provision of a broad range of information on the events in the local film and audiovisual milieu. At present, Film.sk is comprised of permanent sections: the Interview, Topic and Review which are complemented by further regular and irregularsections. Film.skalso contains attachments which chart the annual results in one of the areas of Slovak cinema and provide valuable statistical data.

Along with the title of professor, an honorary doctorate is the highest recognition of an individual’s life and work which a university (in the case of a professorship, the President of the Czech Republic) confers. It accentuates the quality and values which the university wishes to communicate to the academic community and outwardly to society. AMU’s first honorary doctorate was conferred upon Václav Havel in 1996. Over the course of the subsequent 22 years, this title has been conferred upon 17 internationally acclaimed artists most of whom also studied at AMU. The most recent recipient of a doctor honoris causa from AMU is Agnieszka Holland.
