The long suppressed life story of Ľudovít Winter (1970-1968), visionary and builder of modern Slovak spas, shows how totalitarian regimes can destroy an outstanding human intellect and the memory of a nation. The entrepreneurial activities of this genius, which were mainly of a public service nature, made Piešťany, a little spa town in the Váh valley, famous and prosperous. The film depicts a conflict between two attitudes to life against a 20th century background.
