A lyrical story about a man whose life reflects the annual, endlessly repeating cycle of nature. With the onset of spring he becomes a child again, in summer he matures to adulthood and in autumn, the period of commencing ol age, he slowly loses his vigour. At lenght, he retires for the winter far from civilisation, to a distant shepherd´s hut, where he sleeps until the new year and, thereby, his rebirth.
