Synopsis
In October 1953, five friends constituting a small resistance group decide to leave communist Czechoslovakia and get to West Berlin. At the beginning of the month, they all cross the guarded border together, but their presence is soon detected in East Germany; unwittingly, they initiate the largest armed manhunt since WWII. Twenty thousand German Police and Soviet Army troops are mobilised, all because of five teenage boys. This is one of the biggest stories of the Cold War.
