March 15 – 17, 2026
Bratislava Industry Days (BID) is the professional platform of the International Film Festival Febiofest Bratislava. Its goal is to create ties between the Slovak and international film professional, especially in the Central European region, and at the same time to reflect on contemporary audiovisual production and industry in Slovakia in panel discussions.
Works in Progress, the main event of BID, is a public presentation of upcoming films from Central European region. Jury members are: Cecilia Barrionuevo (Doclisboa), Ewa Szabłowska (New Horizons IFF Wroclaw), and Sofia Tocar (Square Eyes). Partner awards include Cineuropa Work in Progress Award, which offers coverage of the awarded project throughout the various stages of development and distribution by Cineuropa; TATINO FILMS Award, which offers a consultancy according to project’s needs as part of Slovak Pop Up programme; MIDPOINT Consulting Award, which provides an in-depth script consultancy with a MIDPOINT Institute expert; Krakow Film Festival and DocLab Poland Award, an invitation to Krakow Film Festival’s CEDOC Co-Production Market, DAE Talent Encouragement Award, which offers a one-off consultation and free membership to the Documentary Association of Europe for one year for the producer and director of the project; and Jihlava New Visions Market Award, an invitation to Ji.hlava New Vision Market.
