Synopsis
The film focuses on the events surrounding the honoris causa doctorate awarded to Alexander Dubček by the University of Bologna in 1988. Dubček travelled to Italy to be present in person at the ceremony. The main protagonists are the State Security agents who represent the machinery driven by the highest political positions, having kept Dubček under surveillance since 1970. This documentary seeks not to criticise anybody but to take a closer look at the methodology of the communist totalitarian regime.
