Synopsis
In a grim Slovak village, Jan lives in isolation, shunned for refusing to drink—the villagers’ only escape from despair. One evening, a mysterious stranger appears, embodying both temptation and hopelessness. As the visits continue, Jan’s grip on reality weakens. The story asks: Is it better to escape through illusion or face life’s painful truth?
