The Interpreter, the film about two men dealing with their past decisions, will be world premiered in the Berlinale Special section.
Short serbian-slovak animation by Ana Nedeljković and Nikola Majdak Jr. Untravel will be presented in world premiere at Berlinale 2018 at the Generation 14plus section.
Little Harbour, successful film by Iveta Grófová competes for the overall Award for the Best European Children & Youth Film of 2017, which will be announced by ECFA – European Children’s Film Association during Berlinale 2018.
Four Slovak films are presented at European Film Market 2018.
This year during the Cannes IFF, Slovakia will be represented in the Producers on the Move (organized by the European Film Promotion, Slovak Film Institute being a member), as well: the Slovak “POM” is Marek Urban (sentimentalfilm).
As the first in Slovak history, the feature debut OUT by György Kristóf, was selected for the 11th Cinéfondation L’Atelier, which is a part of the prestigious Cannes IFF. The film was invited among the 15 most promising projects from the whole world.
Perhaps the most significant event dedicated to short films is starting in Clermont-Ferrand tomorrow. The prestigious International Short Film Festival (27. 1. – 4. 2. 2012) will welcome a Slovak representative, as well.
The International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand (4. – 12. 2. 2011) will present the animation musical Stones by Katarína Kerekesová within the programme of its 33rd edition.
