Synopsis
February 2022. Anna (37) from Vienna travels to her childhood Slovak-Ukrainian border village to visit her grandmother’s grave after learning her mother was adopted. She wears a prosthetic belly, hiding that a Ukrainian surrogate, Irina, carries her child. When war breaks out, Anna loses contact with Irina. Ignoring her partner Greg’s pleas to return, Anna stays at the border, sensing her baby, Julia. Driven by intuition that the child is born, she pursues all paths, determined to find her baby.
