The 5th edition of Czech and Slovak film festival Czech-In Film Festival (May 18 – 23, 2018) will commemorate the 100th anniversary of founding of the 1st Czechoslovak Republic also by screening five Slovak and co-production films in Christine 21 Cinema, Paris.
The festival will open with A Prominent Patient (d. Julius Ševčík), historical drama which depicts the life of Jan Masaryk, diplomat, minister of foreign affairs and son of the first Czechoslovak president. Director Václav Kadrnka will present his film Little Crusader, the winner of Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
Czech-In Film Festival will also introduce The Line by Peter Bebjak, successful thriller with major participation of Slovak production companies and films by two young talented Slovak female directors: Filthy by Tereza Nvotová and Little Harbour by Iveta Grófová, equally reputable films are going to be presented by Kristína Aschenbrennerová from Slovak Film Institute and producer Jiří Konečný.
Czech-In Film Festival is supported by companies Safran and Česká Zbrojovka a.s., Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Czech Turismus, UPP Praha and the others.
