Short animation film Suzie in the Garden by Lucie Sunkovej will have its world premiere at 72nd Berlinale, in the Generation Kplus. The film was made in Slovak minority co-production (produced by Super film).
Suzie is a little girl who goes with her mother and dad to an allotment outside the city. One day she meets a black dog and discovers a mysterious garden. Who is it that lives there? Suzie is a little afraid. But what to do when you are afraid of someone, but you find their key on the path?
Lucie Sunková (*1974) was born in Prague, Czechia, where she studied Vaclav Hollar Art School and FAMU (Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague). Lucie Sunková is a scriptwriter, artist, director and animator. She focuses mainly on one animation technique: painting with oil paints on glass under the camera. She writes and illustrates books for children.
