The 17th edition of the Les Arcs Film Festival, taking place from 13 to 20 December 2025 in the French ski resort Les Arcs, will present two Slovak films.
In the main Competition Long Features, the Slovak majority film Father (dir. Tereza Nvotová, SK prod. DANAE production) has been selected. It will compete against seven other films for the Crystal Arrow award. The film is this year’s national candidate for the Academy Award of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in the category of Best International Feature Film.
The Youth Program section includes the feature-length animated film Tales from the Magic Garden (dir. David Súkup, Patrik Pašš, Leon Vidmar, Jean-Claude Rozec), produced on the Slovak side by Artichoke.
Both films will enter French theatrical distribution in the spring of this year.
