Berlinale Talents is a programme and inspiration forum for film professionals to connect and exchange experiences and ideas. It is part of the Berlin International Film Festival and since its inception in 2003 it has developed into an unmissable event in the film industry. The Slovak representative at Berlinale Talents 2025 is the cinematographer Simona Weisslechner.
Emerging Producers is an educational and promotional initiative of the Ji.hlava IDFF. Each year, the festival selects 18 talented producers and offers them extensive support throughout the year. Since 2017, the program has included a four-day meeting in Berlin, featuring producers’ presentations as part of the festival. In 2025, Lošťáková represents Slovakia as the Emerging Producer.

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is one of the most prestigious events in the field of short filmmaking. During its 47th edition, Slovakia will be represented by two films in the main competition section, and the festival will present three Slovak films in total. The Slovak Republic will also be represented in the Short Film Market in the programme for film professionals. The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival takes place from 31 January to 8 February 2025.
The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) regularly presents Slovak films in its programme, and the upcoming 54th edition (30 January – 9 February 2025) will be no different. Audiences will have the opportunity to encounter Slovak cinema through the films Perla, Wishing on a Star and Video Kings.
