
Traditionally, a contemporary Slovak documentary scene is showcased in competition section Cinematik.doc that features Peace to You All (dir. Juraj Mravec, ml.), A Hole in the Head (dir. Robert Kirchhoff), Seven Sins of Civilization (dir. Ľubomír Viluda, Ivan Kršiak), The Grey Lizard Conspiracy (dir. Maroš Berák), Professional Foreigner (dir. Anna Grusková), The Oath (dir. Dušan Hudec), This Is Not Me (dir. Miro Remo), Heavy Heart (dir. Marek Šulík) and 10 Years of Love (dir. Adam Hanuljak).
More Slovak films are screened within the section In the House: the last movie by Jan Němec The Wolf from Royal Vineyard Street, IFF Karlovy Vary premiered films Nina (dir. Juraj Lehotský) and Little Crusader, horror omnibus DOGG (dir. Slávo Zrebný, Vilo Csino, Enrik Bistika, Jonáš Karásek), a film message of director Juraj Štepka about the first Slovak stage play A Thousand Times Jááánošííík, or the Birth of a Legend, Cannes premiered road movie OUT (dir. György Kristóf) and The Czech Way (dir. Martin Kohout).
In the House does not exclude student films at all and offers a collection of films made by VŠMU and AKU.
A part of the festival is also DOX IN VITRO, an international seminar and workshop for documentary films.
